Message from the
President and Vice-President
The social sciences are evolving rapidly, shaped by new data environments, methodological innovations, and shifting societal needs. At the Academy of Business Finance & Accounting (ABFA), we recognise that scholarship must not only respond to these changing realities but actively help interpret and guide them. We aim to foster a scholarly community that is intellectually rigorous, collegial, and genuinely open to new questions, approaches, and voices.
We view this endeavour as a shared intellectual journey. Progress in knowledge does not arise in isolation, but through dialogue, constructive challenge, and collaboration across disciplines, regions, and career stages. By bringing together diverse perspectives within a spirit of mutual respect, research integrity, and equitable participation, we believe we can strengthen both the quality and relevance of research in business finance and accounting.
We are particularly committed to supporting emerging scholars and fostering mentorship across the academic community, while encouraging research that informs practice, policy, and public understanding.
